Customer Description
Our customer, a regional seafood distributor in the Mid-Atlantic, has been Family Owned and Operated since the early 1930’s and offers a product selection including a full-line of the best Fresh, Frozen, Pasteurized, Smoked and Live Seafood
Problem/Inquiry
The company had grown significantly beyond what its current physical location could adequately or productively accommodate. Following an extensive search they were able to locate a nearby facility that could allow for their current operation and ongoing growth. The location required extensive internal and external renovations to allow for the unique usage based on Reliant’s current operating model.
Solution
Due to the extensive nature of the storage and materials handling needs, we formed a team of internal and external resources to address the myriad of needs presented by this project.
Working with the customer we designed and engineered a push back racking system that allowed them to maximize the storage capacity within the set dimensions within their freezer. We supplied all the design drawings along with necessary PE stamped drawings required for permitting purposes. We coordinated shipping, delivery and installation. The installed system provided approximately 800 pallet positions.
The customer also needed some dry storage racking for their corrugated box inventory. We worked with our supplier to produce the necessary materials, had it shipped to our galvanizer so that the end product would be appropriate for the cold and wet environment where it would be installed. We arranged for the materials to be delivered to the site and installed.
We coordinated with the customer’s General Contractor to provide a fully turnkey project.
From start to finish, the customer was able to work with one contractor and the entire project was delivered to them at the agreed upon price and schedule.
