 Problem/Inquiry

Our customer’s business was growing and they were also looking to take on a new, large customer. They needed both the space and the storage capacity to store and manufacture their raw ingredients and their spice blends.

 Solution

Our team worked with the customer to design and engineer two different, but vital, warehouse systems. The first was a roughly 650 square foot rectangular mezzanine. We designed a double swing gate for pallet access and a straight staircase for worker access. Three sides of the mezzanine required handrail for fall protection. The mezzanine will be used for manufacturing and mixing the customer’s different spice blends. Raw ingredients will be put in machines on top of the mezzanine and will blend together at production lines on the ground floor. The mezzanine was also designed for future expansion as the customer continues to grow.

In order to store both raw ingredients and finished product, the customer also needed a pallet rack system that would be designed and engineered to accommodate their different pallets and their lift equipment. We designed and engineered this system to give them the necessary amount of pallet storage needed while complying to all local code requirements.

From start to finish, the customer was able to work with one contractor and the entire project was delivered to them at the agreed upon price and schedule. They are now able to meet their additional capacity and production requirements and continue to grow.
